While in Idaho, we made Creamy Peas and Potatoes, a recipe that goes way back in our family! Thanks to Grandpa Cheney, we had fresh garden peas and red potatoes. We had to pod all the peas first. (Is that what you say.... pod the peas)? Hmmmmm. Well, Sage wanted to help, of course. She insisted on having her own bowl. When the bowl got full, she dumped them into my big bowl. It kept her entertained for like 45 min. She did not want to get down until every last pea was out of the shell. Such a good little helper!

This was the best part. My mom was telling my dad how good it was, and he needed to try it. So she gets the ladle, and this is what she comes up with. One little pea and a little cream. No potatoe. What the .......?
He was so sad... that was all he got. Too bad Dad!
